Lorne McDougall from Carradale in Kintyre was one of the 2014 “New Voices” artists at Celtic Connections. He followed his Mitchell Theatre gig with an appearance later at the Festival Club. For the former the core band was supplemented by Gaelic singers Darren Maclean and Julie Fowlis, plus two pipers who play alongside MacDougall in the Red Hot Chilli Pipers.
