Krosna were formed in 2007 by graduates of the Kyiv National University of Arts and Culture (they are normally six of them). Their set consisted mostly of unaccompanied harmony singing.

Folknery were formed in 2009 and collect songs from different parts of the Ukraine (and abroad) and “reincarnate” them with modern arrangements.
