This was Annie Whitehead’s regular group apart from Club host Clive Fenner sitting in for Liam Genockey. These musicians have all played with Whitehead (some on and off) for many years (when I last saw her leading a group 13 years ago three of them were present). Jennifer (then Ian) Maidman and Genockey have played with Whitehead since 1992 (then in the group Rude), Phillips since her 1996 album “Naked” and Lodder since the 2000 album “The Gathering”. The group played mostly Whitehead compositions, plus tunes by her musical favourites - Don Drummond, Jonas Gwangwa, Dudu Pukwana and the Crusaders.
