10th May 2013 at Old Cranleighan Club, Thames Ditton, Surrey.

Ram Club, www.theramclub.co.uk/.

Country: Britain - Scotland. Style: Traditional Scottish Folk.

Lineup: Jeana Leslie (v/fiddle/p), Siobhan Miller (v/step dancer), Aaron Jones (bouzouki/g/v).

Siobhan Miller and Jeana Leslie are from Penicuik, outside Edinburgh and Orkney respectively. They met and starting playing together at the RSAMD (now the Royal Conservatoire). I last saw the duo at Towersey in 2008. Aaron Jones was born in Dorset to Northern Irish parents and has lived in Scotland for around twenty years. I’ve seen him with Old Blind Dogs, Jenna Cumming, Pauline Cato & Tom McConville, Craobh Rua and as a BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year accompanist. At this year’s Celtic Connections I took photos of Siobhan Miller as part of “Songs of Struggle” and Aaron Jones at the Festival Club with Ross Ainslie & Jarlath Henderson and with Damien O'Kane (click on the Tags of their names).
