Cerddcegin (”Kitchen Music”) consists of two musicians from Ceredigeon in West Wales and one from Edmonton, Canada whose family came from the same area. The latter has an interesting history - playing trombone in various Ska, Jazz and Improv bands in Canada (under the name J.C. Jones) before becoming increasingly interested in his roots and studying Welsh song and the Harp. The group’s repertoire was nearly all instrumental music, taken at relatively slow tempos (despite a couple of sets of jigs and one of hornpipes).
