AAbeya was founded by Hidesaburo Abe. The current version of the band (all in their twenties) for this short UK tour is composed of his two sons Kinzaburo and Ginzaburo (both born in Tokyo), Maya Nemeto (born in Chiba) and Kouki Sato (son of another shakuhachi player Eiji Sato). They were joined for two songs and the finale by Yokiro Sano (born in Kamaishi, Iwate prefecture) who was in London for a concert in memory of the 3/11 Tohoku disaster.
