Rona Wilkie is from Oban in Argyllshire and won the 2012 BBC Radio Scotland Young Traditional Musician of the Year competition. Every year Celtic Connections has some “New Voices” concerts where musicians are invited to compose a suite or extended series of sets of tunes .Rona Wilkie was one off those chosen in 2013. I attended the concert at the Mitchell Theatre. I didn’t manage to get any useable photos but saw the band again at the Festival Club.
