These are the four musicians who formed the first version of Danú in Waterford in 1994. Three of them were born there and the other (Daire Bracken) was from Dublin. Bracken and Clancy soon left the group. Bracken was part of the band Slide, and Clancy in a group with his father Liam and then Solas. Clancy rejoined Danú in 2003. He, Gough and McCarthy are joined by four others in the current version of the band. This get together of the founder members is a rare occurrence.
