The Foghorn String Band was formed in 2000 (originally as Foghorn Leghorn) in Portland, OR. Two of the founders of the original quintet remain: Sammy Linn from Burnsville, MN and Caleb Klauder from Orcas Island, WA/Little Cumberland, GA, both of whom moved to Portland to study. Recently they have been joined by Reeb Willms (ex-the Shadies) from Waterville, WA and Nadine Landry (ex-Hungry Hill) born on the Gaspe, peninsular, Quebec and who then spent a decade in Whitehorse, Yukon. Landry brings to the band an interest in Cajun music to add to its Old Time repertoire. The second half of the evening was a Square Dance with a caller.
