London Gaelic Voices Festival.
Organised by West London Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann in collaboration with The Nest Collective and The London Irish Centre. The aim was to celebrate Gaelic languages and culture by bringing together performers from Ireland and Scotland.

Lineup: Meaiti Jo Shéamuis Ó Fátharta [Máirtín Ó Fátharta] (v/uilleann pipes).

Meaiti Joe Sheamuis O'Fatharta is a Sean Nós singer and uilleann piper from the south Connemara area of Inverin in County Galway.

Griogair Labhruidh is from Loch Lomondside in Argyll. He writes his own songs, but at this gig focused on traditional music from the area around Ballachulish. Unusually for a Scottish musician he played the uilleann pipes.

Coisir Lunnainn, or the London Gaelic Choir, was founded in 1891. They have competed at the Mod (an annual festival of Scottish Gaelic song, arts and culture) since 1923 and members have won several Gold medals.
