Duck Baker (Richard R. Baker IV) is a fingerstyle guitarist from Riichmond, Virginia. He lived in Europe 1978-89 and again from 2005 (currently in Reading). He is normally categorised as a “Folk” musician, but has also played Jazz for decades - including collaborations with Rosewell Rudd, John Zorn and Derek Bailey. The Trio unites him with Alex Ward (from Grantham) and Joe Williamson (from Vancouver, BC and who in the last decade or two has lived in Amsterdam, Berlin, London and now Stockholm). They played mostly Baker’s compositions apart from two by Thelonious Monk, one by Beethoven and an Irish jig.
