16th September 2011 at Queen Elizabeth Hall (Front Room), London SE1.

London African Music Festival (annual event, this was a free concert), www.londonafricanmusicfestival.com/.

Country: Ivory Coast (Malian descent) & various African countries (British residents). Style: Traditional Mandinka.

Lineup: Nahini Doumbia (djembe), 2 more djembe players, 3 doun-doun players, balafon player, kora player (possibly Jally Kebba Susso), flute player and dancers.

If anyone can give me any more information on the lineup, I would be very grateful.

Nahini Doumbia was born in the Ivory Coast. He moved to his father’s homeland of Mali in 2002, and in 2007 founded Les Espoirs du Mali. Since moving to the UK he has created a new version of the band.
