I also would like to give thanks to Douglas Dietiker who joined me on this trip and was a blast have around. He showed me some really cool spots and was helped me tremendously when it came to the night painting.
This was an image from my recent trip to the Southwest to shoot the rare snowstorms to hit the desert. I knew people had seen a thousand images of this so I thought I would try something different - night painting !
This is always a challenge I look forward to and when it works out it really looks out of this world.
One unexpected surprise was the fact the image picked up the sunrise color starting before I could see it without the camera.
