And here's the first of a Fantastic 4 serie I was planning on shooting/editing since WAY back already.
Initially, the concept was to have a single picture regrouping all 4 together - but, after thinking for a while, I've decided to split everyone into their own individual picture to allow the viewer to properly focus on a main character rather than look everyone at the same time. Plus, I think it would look more epic anyway.
Up next? I haven't decided yet... but it'll obviously be either Mr Fantastic, or The Thing ;)
Enjoy this one for now!

I KNOW, this character is supposed to be a girl (and one looking like Jessica Alba for that matter), but we were 4 dudes on the set, so that's what you get ;)
One last to go and I'm a happy, completed man. I think I've never used that much photoshop in my life, in this picture, haha.
When I started this Fantastic 4 project, I already knew it would be more focused on photoshop rather than the photography part - I can't believe I'm actually almost done, this has definitely taught me a lot of stuff and fancy cool tricks to use around for future projects!
Also, if you like my work, you're welcome to join =)

At last.
This is finally the very last picture of the set Fantastic 4 that I've been doing for a while now. This project has given me a tremendous amount of Photoshop work to deal with, and that's exactly what I wanted to work on, knowing that the "special effects" would definitely give me a hard time and thus, force me to improve/learn new techniques or improve the existing ones.
Having said that, I have learned TONS of interesting things, namely not only the technical tidbits required to edit those kind of photos, but also... that if you really want to accomplish something, no matter how difficult and lengthy it is, you will achieve that goal. Why am I saying that? Because, for EVERY picture in this set, the worse feeling is during the first 30 minutes of the work: as I open Photoshop and start the first basic touch-ups, I realize how much I still have to do and this is definitely discouraging when you immediately have an idea of the time it will take you to finish (i.e. 3-4 hours of constant focus). But every single step you take to reach that goal will (obviously) get you closer to it, and even though you might not see it right away, you are indeed slowly but surely, getting closer to the finish line. So, never give up on a project, even if you feel that it will take a tremendous amount of work.
Finally, I'm damn happy that I finally got to finish what I had in mind 4-5 months ago. I'll definitely plan other big concepts soon.
I'm probably going to slowly abandon Flickr as well and getting more into 500px. I really feel that the Flickr community is very lacking and absent the past few months.
