This is the latest of my still life images after a fairly long while. I wanted to use food and I've been thinking about fish for a while.
This is a Pompano and I imagine it would be very good broiled after marinading for a day in the 'fridge! Ah, garlic and chili, what could be better?
This photo taken with the Canon 5D Mk II using the Canon 50mm f2.5 Macro lens, 1/2 sec. @ f16. Lighting: Ascor QC1000 Studio Stobe system using diffused quartz modeling lights, 1 head at 800watts in Large softbox upper left side slightly to the rear, and at camera right and to the side of the subject, a large white foam-core board to provide bounce light to soften shadows.
Processed using Camera Raw, Photoshop CS5, Topaz ReMask3, Topaz Adjust 5, and FastStone Editor.
