Vijfduizend franse dakpannen worden, enkele weken voordat Oerol begint, op het strand bij het Hoornse bos op Terschelling geplant. De wind zal het natuurlijke proces van ‘zandophoping en vervorming’ zichtbaar maken, het proces waaraan de duinen en het eiland hun levensvatbaarheid danken.

5,000 French roof tiles are being planted on the beach near Hoorn, Terschelling, weeks before the start of the Oerol festival. The wind will make visible the natural process of 'zand accumulation and distortion', the process to which the dunes and the island in particular thank their existence.
