Duck trap near the village of Landerum on the island of Terschelling. Duck traps were used to catch wild ducks as a rich source of proteines. The island has 7 traps and some of them are still in use. Like this one.
This oval mound once was the home of a couple of small churches and the associated cemetery. The structure in the middle forms the outlines of all those churches. The part in the middle forms the outline of the first, wooden church, built in the year 850.
