Grimsby, Ontario is pretty much a small town and, in common with most small towns, youth complain of there being nothing to do and that their needs are typically ignored. The town administration, in a recognition of this group’s interests, built a skateboard and roller blade obstacle course and named it the Grimsby Sk8 Park. This addition to the town’s recreational facilities has been well received and is well used. But Winter imposes a limit on the facility’s accessibility. One consequence is that the stairs leading down to the park from Christie Street becomes somewhat tricky to navigate and thus the yellow Park Facilities barrier is put up to protect people from themselves. The splash of yellow and the repeating pattern creating a bit of a leading line/pattern immediately caught my eye and the flat Winter light on the snow made it virtually disappear leaving this. - JW
