Another shot from my trip up to Hyden, This was standing on top of the rock (wave rock) and a fellow photo-club photographer was setting up his camera and tripod as the sun was going down. I took this hand-held so considering that Im happy with the result. There are quite a few images from that weekend on my blog here.... juliehollandphotography.wordpress.com/2013/09/12/hyden-trip/

so this was this morning on leaving town, cold and foggy but beautiful, took these from the car window, very little done to them, just cropped and levels, just an amazing scene I could not pass up taking a photo of really. The cows breath can even be seen . Love days like this

took this today in difficult conditions, I was almost getting blown over by the gusts of wind coming up the cliff, this is the last stop before Antarctica

took this today, there were about 40 of these new Holland honey-eaters in my yard, extremely loud when they are together and excitable. spent a bit of time running in and out of the house changing from my 7D to my 5DIII but in the end for reach and speed the 7D was the way to go for these sort of shots.

After months of seeing the eagles sailing past me when most time I either had the wrong camera, wrong lens or the conditions did not suit, the bird was too far off etc. today I finally got these photos. taken with my 5DIII and 100-400L. I was walking along the usual haunt looking out for raptors as there have been a few around lately when I saw him coming, he was reasonably close and circled around three times swooping down behind the scrub as he obviously had some prey in sight. I'm pretty happy with these shots, all that's been done is levels and cropping and a couple have had some sharpening applied but that's it. well to say I'm pretty happy is an understatement. see more here juliehollandphotography.wordpress.com/2014/04/04/sea-eagle/
