we recently got back from a (long!) road trip to florida. these little flowers were in all the yards. i imagine they're thought of as weeds. and they're beautiful!

the pachysandra in my garden is evergreen, which is a welcome sight in winter. on saturday, we received a beautiful frost illuminated by the morning sun. a reminder of warmth within the cold. happy 2024, friends!

most of our leaves have fallen. (we got 4 inches of snow last week!) yet i found this tree with luminous orange leaves. a splash of color in the dull november landscape.
