This was the largest bull of the three that hung around this lake during the week that I was there. There were reports of larger animals in other areas, but we stayed in one loaction for the most part. They had to show up to feed in the lake at some point.

I added just a touch of Orton here to tone down the glare on the water.

She really was a good looking animal. There were, unfortunately, a lot of moose that died as a result of a very harsh winter last year.

Ahhh........ the rut is on. This ole boy here was following a cow moose and is checking the air for whether or not she is in full estrus. Gosh if only we guys had that ability. look at all the money we would save...dinner, movie/dancing, bottle of wine (MD 20/20), spare no expense. These guys just smell the air and go for it.
