The Old Man of Storr, is like a a monolithic rock formation, jutting upward like a sentinel. Sitting against a misty backdrop. Well worth the haul up the hill in pitch black to get there for sunrise.
Fortunately for me I do like mist and added bonus with sunrise at the same time, the mist was coming and going soon after getting to the top, however, the sun did not stop by for long and got pretty gloomy soon afterwards.
Certainly a bit of luck for my first visit.

Managing to get out after some weeks of not being able to get around as I had a torn Calf muscle.
What a fabulous sunrise, although only lasted around 10 minutes and a bit of luck with the paddle boarder with just enough shutter speed as I was not aware he was coming through.
My Instagram feed does have the 20 second live version showing this orange sunrise.

An image from the Isle of Skye last around early Autumn.
The moment here where the sun is just between the two mountains lighting up behind the lone tree with some low cloud.

Captured in early November, this image was my fourth and this time, some great conditions. A lone white cottage sits nestled at the foot of towering, rugged mountains, epitomizing solitude and tranquillity.
The icy mirror in the foreground caught my eye as I was heading back to the car. Although I usually prefer horizontal images, this one to me worked as a portrait because it had nice layers of interest throughout: the crystalline pond, the golden grasslands, the majestic mountains, and the blue-fluffy clouds in the sky, echoing the harsh yet beautiful Scottish landscape.
Only a Firecrest Polariser used here; taken at its widest 24-mm, managing to focus where a single image without bracketing was all that was needed.

A still and moody morning in early November, with the sun breaking through the clouds and lighting up the mountains ahead. This is the view of the castle, which is currently under repair and surrounded by a fence. I decided to leave the fence in the picture.
Using a polariser and a wide-angle lens to capture this image, after making several visits in October and November. I finally got lucky with the weather on the first morning of my last trip.
