On the day I received my new 85mm portrait lens, I took our cat out the backyard in the evening for some portraits. I was rarely able to get a picture of him where he was actually looking at the lens, so this is unusual. Sadly, he has now gone to kitty heaven. We think he was ~18 years old, and he had used up his 9 lives.

The 85mm lens at f1.8 is quite tricky to hold the focal point. Here you can see that just the front of his face is in focus and everything else blurred. It does give beautiful bokeh though !
