This little tyke, my great-nephew, was so excited to dance the "money-dance" with the bride; I gave him two dollars, one for him and one for his brother; he immediately ran up to the bride and gave her the money. Then when it was ACTUALLY time for the money dance he had no bucks; so Aunt Jill opened up her wallet again.... So cute, I wanted to take him home with me.

I think I've figured out my next career move - I'll be the "candid" photographer at weddings; forget all those time-consuming posed groups - those are boring !

I attended a family wedding in Petaluma yesterday and, of course, brought along the camera. I stayed out of the way of the official wedding photographer (who by the way had the exact camera set up that I have - a Canon 7D with 580EX flash). While the official photographer was taking all the posed pictures, I concentrated on the candids that create the special memories of the day. This is my great-niece who was rather bored with the whole event by now - after about 1.5 hours of posing !

While the "official photographer" was focused on getting all the posed images, I wandered around at my nephew's wedding taking candids and still life images. My sister was the floral designer for this lovely bouquet.
