my contribution for the week 1 flickr BINGO Group challenge
I discovered the swans in a pond in front of an office building on Embarcadero Road and jumped out of the car for a quick snap (since the rules of the group challenge require that the image is a new photo). I hope to go back to visit the swans when I have more time....
I didn't think they were fake swans; but now that I look more closely in the larger size, they do look rather plastic ! (The camera has better eyesight than I do.....)

Getting old is no fun; you have to be on a diet ALL THE TIME just to maintain your weight; losing weight requires fasting... which I guess I'll be doing anyway during Lent.
This is my contribution to the flickrBINGO group; this week's challenge is negative space. There is lots of negative space on my plate these days.....

The challenge in the flickr-BINGO group this week was Warped Anime Self Portrait; I had no idea what that meant or how to do it, and I am really not into self portraits, so I thought I would pass on this week's challenge (I didn't have that number on my bingo card anyway.)
But on a rainy Sunday afternoon with time to kill, I started poking around in Photoshop filters and seeing what the other group members had come up with. I went to this web site to "transform" me:

The flickrBINGO challenge this week was to travel to a place you've never been. We've booked a 2-week cruise-tour in the Fall to the Eastern Mediterranean departing from Venice to Greece, Turkey and Croatia. Though the trip is still months away, the planning and mental travelling have already begun.
Needless to say, my anticipation revolves around the many fantastic photo ops that we will encounter both on and off the ship....
