At a stop on our jeep tour of the vast Wadi Rum desert in Jordan, the camels were saddled up and waiting for riders. Wadi Rum may be best known for its connection with British officer T. E. Lawrence, who passed through several times during the Arab Revolt of 1917-1918. Scenes from the movie "Lawrence of Arabia" were also filmed here, as well as many more recent movies, including The Martian in 2015. It was so dusty and windy that I covered both of my cameras in their rain sleeves. Probably should have covered my face too, but keeping the cameras working seemed more important at the time :)
