We took an electronic cart ride through the old quarter in Hanoi, packed with tiny stalls, people everywhere, scooters zooming by, and I was snapping pictures continuously; finally it occurred to me that the best way to capture the immersive experience was to record a video. The voice in the background is the taped narrator, most of which we couldn't understand due to the accent.

Traffic is chaotic - there are 3 million scooters in this city of 7 million inhabitants. There are few stop signs or traffic lights, and they disobey them anyway... Drivers honk constantly, but no one takes offense. Pedestrians have to just step out into the roadway and keep moving - the traffic will flow around you like you're a rock in the stream.
