This is the back of the tote I made for my partner in the Mouthy Stitches Swap.

I used many of the same fabrics that I used on the front to make the pieced portion of the back. The text strips are 1" wide finished and the coloured strips finished at 1/2" wide. I was inspired by this simple piecing when I made the matching key fob.

The tote pattern is here. This bag is fully reversible. You can see what this one looks like reversed here.

I was lucky enough to get to test a new pattern by Kelly of Jeli Quilts. She has come up with several amazing circle-of-geese variations lately and this one is called "Double Goosed" (soon to be available in her Craftsy pattern shop.)

I used 27 different Kona solids for the geese (leftovers from this quilt) and three different Konas for the background.

This block was incredibly fun to make and, believe it or not, really not very hard! There are some clever touches that make it well-suited to someone not super experienced with paper-piecing: the geese don't touch so you don't have to worry about cutting off their points and there is no place in the block when joining pieces that you have to worry about a million seams coming together (even in the centre.) Plus, everyone will be super amazed by how awesome your block is. ;)

If anyone's curious, it took me about 3 hours start to finish to complete the block. The finished size is 14" square.

This is the key fob I made for my partner in the Mouthy Stitches Swap. See the matching tote here.

I used the strap making directions from Elizabeth Hartman's Perfect Zip Bags pattern for the general process. The rainbow portion is fused on and then zigzagged in place. I also added some medium weight fusible interfacing to the main fabric to make the fob stiffer.

Hopefully my partner likes it!

This is the inspiration mosaic I made for my partner in the Mouthy Stitches Round 2 Swap.

In case you can't tell, partner, I have recently developed a tiny obsession with texty fabric. Add on a bright rainbow colour scheme and you can't go wrong. Throw in some fun appliqué or quirky paper piecing and I'll bake you cookies! :)
