Frogs have to be one of the most photogenic creatures on this planet - and I was extremely fortunate to have one as a perfect model earlier this week in our garden.

From my perspective, as a photographer it doesn't get much better than to have an amphibian on the other side of your lens.

Here's hoping you have a friendly frog in front of your lens in the near future....

We have canna plants on our property and once in a blue moon we'll be lucky enough to have a green tree frog inside one of them.

This little fella startled me when I took a peek earlier today - only the second time I've ever seen one inside the plant.

The swirling surroundings and those great eyes of his made this photographer smile broadly as I viewed this through the lens.

His Royal Highness, The Prince of the Garden...

This is a one-handed handheld shot that I took when this small tree frog jumped atop my thumb while I was photographing him in our garden.

Talk about an unexpected photo opportunity....and you should have seen me trying to steady the camera before he jumped off again.

A photographer's luck is usually his best asset.

This small tree frog jumped amongst the canna plant leaves for a half hour yesterday as I happily snapped away.
