We recently wrapped up our Iceland Highlands with a fantastic group of Action Photogs. This image speaks to me tremendously and reminds that through the peaks and valleys of life, the sun always rises! At this moment, some of our Action Photogs are taking in the amazing scenery of Greenland and some are starting an adventure through the Alaskan Arctic!

On this windy evening many kilometers deep into the empty coastal dunes of western Namibia, sand flew across and over the landscape. The blowing sand being backlit by the rapidly falling sunlight created an ethereal atmosphere. This sand wasn’t just fascinating to watch, it also really pissed me off because it ended up in my eyes, ears and (somehow) the dark and sweaty bits below the belt. Chafing already sucks, chafing with sand on your “southern skin” makes for a truly horrible time.
If you’re interested in how a moron like me occasionally makes photos that aren’t horrible, you can learn stuff at www.ryandyar.com ❤️
