A bobcat and her two kittens cross a small stream in the Willamette Valley.

Strobist info: 4 old speedlites with radio triggers modded to run on D cells, sun/backlight = 1/2 CTO, 1/2 power, A-clamped to light stand cause I used my only lighting stud mounting motion trigger, fill = on-axis/left 1/1 CTB, plus green 1/2 power, key = gridded 1/4 power behind/in front of subject, 1/2 CTO A-clamped to tree branch. Extra fill, way camera right 1/2 power, plus green, clamped to tree. Camera on tripod in stream.

This suburban gray fox travels by house most nights, once I saw it trotting right up our street. My trail cams on a land trust property outside of town haven't gotten any foxes, makes me think they do better in town, where perhaps there are fewer coyotes and no shortage of rodents.

A male redband trout that survived spawning in the face of otters and eagles. This fish will return to Upper Klamath Lake soon. My dome port popped off and I lost my camera about 10 minutes after this shot :(
