In San Diego with Rosalie for a couple of days. I'm always looking for more images for my Cafe/Resturant set. We stopped here to have breakfast here yesterday. We are going back today. I guess they have a Banana/Peanut Butter french toast which Bobby Flay mentions on "The Best thing I ever Ate", which I will try today. (notice the guy in the kitchen)

To tilt shift or not to tilt shift? Obviously I decided not to on this one. As a result I probably got carried away with the HDR. When doing HDRs I try to make them more on the subtle side...this one is probably a bit too strong.
Over the past weekend I had a date night with the wife and we stayed at this hotel. I'm not one to pimp services but I highly recommend priceline.com. This hotel/resort is normally $299 per night, but via priceline we got it for about $100. If you get a chance view it large to see how massive this lobby was. This shot was 5 exposure hand held

#256/365 OK I promise I will put down the 14mm...after this one more. Went to Denny's today (kids eat free!). There are several reasons I love Denny's. Aside from its delicious food, yes you heard me, it brings back a lot of memories. Since Denny's is 24 hours it has always been the spot to go to after study sessions, clubbing, parties, concerts, birth of your kids (ok maybe not that one). You know what else is great about Denny's?...It's timeless decor :)

#255/365 I found out several cool things about my new (used) 14mm lens. It has a AF motor, so it will focus on my d40 and it has a super close focal point. This allows me to get up close and personal with my toys. This was a last minute shot I squeezed out before I left for home. Have a good weekend!

#254/365 Post Process Fridays episode #32. This weeks shot is from my buddy Hector Cruz aka BigBoyDrums. Mainly known for his great portrait work, Hector also dabbles in these cool long exposure landscapes. For this one I mainly wanted to bring out the details and colors. One of the last steps I did that really brought out some contrast was I made a b&w layer and I did a Hard Light overlay at 25%.
