This is one of many water dances taking place in 70 cities nationwide at the same date and time.

Dancers in Kansas City engaged with the Blue River throughout its four seasons and created movement in response to their observations. This particular site was part of the Santa Fe Trail crossing, as well as the Potawatomi Trail of Death. The dancers worked with themes of crossing and journeying, while also considering the river’s fate and constraint as it moves through a cityscape without the needed room to expand.

My husband and I traveled to Mountain View, AR to experience four minutes of totality.

Blacksmith demonstration at the Eclipse Festival in Mountain View, Arkansas. The area is well known for its preservation and teaching of traditional Ozarks arts and crafts, plus they were in the line of totality for the 2024 solar eclipse.
