Frederiksholms Kanal is a canal in central Copenhagen, Denmark, which runs along the south-west side of Slotsholmen, together with Slotholmens Kanal separating the island from Zealand. The name also applies to the continuation of Rådhusstræde which follows the canal for most of its course, first on its south side and for the last stretch, from Prinsens Bro and to the waterfront, on both sides of the canal. Several historic buildings face the canal, ranging in size from Prince's Mansion, now housing National Museum, and Christiansborg's riding grounds to the diminutive Stable Boy's House, part of Civiletatens Materialgård, a former storage facility now used by the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts's School of Sculpture.

"The "Great Belt Bridge" (Danish: Storebæltsbroen) commonly refers to the suspension bridge, although it may also be used to mean the box-girder bridge or the link in its entirety. Officially named the East Bridge, the suspension bridge has the world's third-longest main span (1.6 km (1 mi)), and the longest outside Asia. It was designed by the Danish firms COWI and Ramboll".

The nature reserve Selsø Sø is located at the bottom of Møllekrogen. Selsø Lake was originally a cove in Roskilde Fjord, but for several hundred years the lake has been separated by a dam from the fjord. The bird life at the lake is varied and rich; during the winter months, waterfowl rides in large numbers, eg. up to 2000 greylag and 5000 witch and whey teeth. In the summer months, 35-40 different bird species breed. This makes Selsø Lake one of Zealand's most exciting bird sites. You can look out over the area from the bird tower on the lake's south side or from the square in front of Selsø Church.
Selsø lake is part of the national park "Skjoldungernes land".
