Furesø (furesoe), Denmark's deepest lake, is located in North Zealand approx. 12 km as the crow flies from the center of Copenhagen. It is owned by the Ministry of the Environment and administered by the Nature Agency's local unit in East Zealand. It is part of the Mølleå system, as well as the largest lake in this system. The lake is supplied with water from Mølleåen, which originates in the drainage from Bastrup lake and runs through Farum lake before it enters Furesø at Fiskebæk and flows out at Frederiksdal, and on to Lyngby lake and Bagsværd lake, before it ends in Øresund after 40 km . In addition, water is supplied to Furesø via a canal from Vejlesø.

Hedeland is a large recreational area located between Hedehusene, Vindinge and Tune approx. 30 km west of Copenhagen.
The 15 km², heavily hilly landscape is artificial, as it was created by extensive gravel extraction over many years. You can say that the large building activity in the capital area since the 1960s has scarred the landscape

Munkholm is an approx. 9.6 hectare island in the Isefjord that is landlocked with the Holbæk side with a dam, and with Hornsherred to the east with the Munkholm bridge that was opened in 1952. The island and the road connection separate Bramsnæs Bay to the north and Tempelkrogen, which is the southernmost part of The Isefjord, to the south.
