"Mølleåen, also Mølleå, sometimes translated as the Millstream, is a small river in North Zealand, Denmark, which runs 36 kilometres (22 mi) from the west of Bastrup Sø near Lynge to the Øresund between Taarbæk and Skodsborg.[1] The valley contains several country houses and a series of mills which initiated Denmark's industrial development."

The nature reserve Selsø Sø is located at the bottom of Møllekrogen. Selsø Lake was originally a cove in Roskilde Fjord, but for several hundred years the lake has been separated by a dam from the fjord. The bird life at the lake is varied and rich; during the winter months, waterfowl rides in large numbers, eg. up to 2000 greylag and 5000 witch and whey teeth. In the summer months, 35-40 different bird species breed. This makes Selsø Lake one of Zealand's most exciting bird sites. You can look out over the area from the bird tower on the lake's south side or from the square in front of Selsø Church.
Selsø lake is part of the national park "Skjoldungernes land".

Grønsund is a strait in Denmark separating the island Falster from the islands Møn and Bogø. Grønsund's maximum depth is at approx. 20 metres and the width is between 1 - 4 km. Storstrømmen channel is situated to the west and Stege Bugt lies to the north between Zealand and Møn. A ferry crosses the channel in the summertime from Stubbekøbing to Bogø island. Grønsund has several shallow areas, i.e. near Bogø, and has a strong and alternating current. Both submersed and riparian vegetation is rich, and the sound is an important breeding area for wildlife and fish. Many shore birds, including cormorants, mute swans, greylag geese, pintails, shovelers, eiders, avocets, several species of waders, as well as gulls and terns are breeding in the area. The porpoise lives in the area.

Bognæs is a protected peninsula at the bottom of Roskilde Fjord. Along the lobed coast of the peninsula lies grassy salt marshes and tubs, which in several places are transformed into very fine woodlands and are plowing with the high-stemmed beech forest. Bognæs has a southern connection to Zealand via a narrow drag. Bognæs forms a two-part peninsula that separates Kattinge Vig, Bredningen and Lejre Vig from each other. The large forest and Vesterskoven are separated by the small cove Ølvig. The peninsula has a very lobed coastline and is surrounded by several small islands and islets. Most of the peninsula consists of forest and in some places the forest goes right to the shore. The terrain is slightly wavy with some hills.
