Found in northern Asia and western Europe the bank Vole is Native to England, Wales and lowland areas of Scotland, and has been introduced to southern Ireland.

Early morning on the Masai Mara and not far from our camp Spotted Hyena consume the remains of an African Buffalo: an animal, along with the Giraffe, considered to be outside their prey range. So they are possibly scavenging the remains of a Lion kill and that might explain the lion roars we heard during the night!

When the Wildebeest are on the move and the earth shakes its better to keep out of the way!
