Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, established on August 1, 1916. It encompasses two active volcanoes: Kīlauea, one of the world's most active volcanoes, and Mauna Loa, the world's most massive shield volcano. Kīlauea and its Halemaumau caldera were traditionally considered the sacred home of the volcano goddess Pele, and Hawaiians visited the crater to offer gifts to the goddess. Here you see an active crater in the middle of Halemaumau caldera. There was a moon out this night but I was still able to get some stars in the image.

Here is another photo from this weeks solar eclipse. We were about 1000' north of the line of totality. A must see experience. I used a 200-400 Nikon lens with a Sony a6500 body.

The eclipse yesterday was amazing. I'm starting to question why I waited so long to see one. This was taken with a 200-400 Nikon lens and a Sony a6500 body.
