Aka Bearded Capuchin. Although long known by local people, in 2004 they became the first non-ape primate in which tool usage was documented in the wild. They have strengthened back and leg muscles, enabling them to walk on hind legs while carrying the heavy stones used as hammers to crack nuts placed on hollowed worn stone anvils.

Aka Berthe's mouse lemur is the smallest of the mouse lemurs and the smallest primate in the world; the average body length is 9.2 cm (3.6 in) and seasonal weight is around 30 g (1.1 oz).
An endangered species found only in Kirindy Forest and the nearby Reserve Speciale d'Andranomena.
