"Flying colors"
This was truly a serendipitous moment for me. While at Bear River Migratory Bird refuge in Utah, one of my goals was to capture a male Cinnamon Teal in flight. They are such beautiful ducks, especially in the spring with their breeding plumage. WELL, don't ya just know, I saw this pair about to take flight and low and behold, I captured this image. I was fortunate to get quite a number of photos of these Teals during my trip. I find them to be some of the most beautiful ducks in north America. The female is in the lead....as she should be! 😁

Last month while exploring some new areas in Northern Arizona and southern Utah, we found these amazing bentonite clay beds virtually in the middle of nowhere. It was about a mile hike out to find them, and we visited twice. The colors represented in these mounds were extraordinary. I could have spent days just photographing in different light. You just never know what is around the next bend!!!
