In the dying embers of a late summer's day the luxurious growth of climbing wild cucumbers threatens to overtake a barn that has been idle for some time. When I show my grandchildren photos of my sport days in high school and college (much to their amusement) there is a part of me that sighs with the realization that life inevitably catches up with all of us.
