In the heart of Tuscany, in the countryside of the Val d'Orcia, close to Pienza, stands Agriturismo Podere Terrapille. And everybody who has seen the movie Gladitor with Russel Crowe will recognize the scene when Maximus Decimus Meridius walks in the fields towards the villa. Because of that movie this location became pretty popular, not at least by a small army of photographers who gather around the winding lawn of cypress trees every morning and evening…..this one is taken at sunset.
