At the Mercati di Traiano Museum of the Imperial Forums, from March 26 to October 2019, the exhibition “Mortals Immortals, treasures of Sichuan in ancient China” is on stage, which presents finds in bronze, gold, jade and terracotta, dating from the Bronze Age (II millennium BC) until the Han period (2nd century AD) from important Chinese institutions.

The exhibition is held under the guidance of the Sichuan Provincial Cultural Office and sponsored by the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Italy. The aim of the exhibition is to introduce the evocative features of the Shu tradition and their religious culture. Most of the objects exhibited come from the excavations of the Sanxingdui site, of Jinsha and from the cemetery of the village of Shuangyuan in Qingyuanjiang district.

Das rechteckige bronzene Weingefäß aus der Zeit von 475 – 221 v. Chr. ist mit Silbereinlagen in geometrischen und Tierformen verziert und der Deckel besitzt vier vogelförmige Griffe.
