Oh my goodness it was windy yesterday at the Texas City Dike which made photography a bit more challenging than normal though there were still some interesting opportunities. Probably the standout was this young Glaucous Gull that was hanging around the first fish cleaning station. This gull is a bruiser, absolutely dwarfing the Ring-billed and Laughing Gulls in the area making it really easy to spot. The wind actually made getting in-flight shots relatively easy since it allowed the bird to just hang in the air, almost motionless.
