On July 1-3, 1865, this would have been the view of the Gettysburg Battlefield as seen by the Confederate Army of Northern Virginia Pegram’s Artillery Battalion commanded by Major William J. Pegram. The spot is marked by a marker amid the restored cannons placed on West Confederate Ave. The Battalion was actively engaged on each of the three days of the battle. The first cannon shot of the battle was fired by one of the batteries from a point near the south side of Chambersburg Pike on the ridge west of Herr’s Tavern.

Old Drawyer's Presbyterian Church is located alongside Route 13 in St. Georges Hundred, New Castle County, Delaware. The building was constructed, in the American Georgian Architectural style, in 1773 to replace an earlier church that had been built in the 1730s. The church congregation was first organized in the early 1700s. This building was left empty when the congregation moved to a new church in Odessa in 1861. In 1895 the Friends of Old Drawyers was organized to preserve the old church and cemetery and over the years they have kept the church and grounds in exceptional condition. The church was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1973.

A view of the grain elevator at Mountaire Farms in Frankford, Sussex County, Delaware. The older building in the foreground is labeled as the Frankford Water Plant on Google Maps but I doubt that was the original use of that building.
