Quite a bad video to be honest but it was the only time that I saw them up close and personal. Usually all you could spot were these cape things.

I decided to post this video showing me during one of the stormy bits on that day.
All I'm basically saying is that "it's very, very, very, very windy and it's snowing and well, you know" and than the hail started hitting me...

Just in case you are one of those people who never saw a Basking Shark (which I think would not be really surprising) here's a (very bad) video of one of our Basking Shark Encounters.
There were at least eight of these fish in the bay and they were a great sight. There are more pictures of these amazing fish somewhere on my hard drive but this one has to do until I found time to edit all the pictures.....

Falls Ihr zu den Leuten gehört, die noch nie einen Riesenhai gesehen haben (was mich jetzt nicht wirklich wundern würde): So sehen sie aus. Also, äh, na ja, so ungefähr. Ja, das Video ist nicht toll, aber es gibt einen Eindruck von den Viechern. Die sind übrigens ganz harmlos und ernähren sich (bei einer Länge von bis zu 10 Metern) von Plankton.... Ich habe noch mehr Bilder von denen, aber so als bewegtes Ding ist das hier nicht schlecht.
In der Bucht waren noch mindestens sieben weitere von diesen Fischen und es war ungeheuer beeindruckend, sie von so nah sehen zu können.
