My desire to bring people together to find their true potential and to be awesome goes beyond the workplace. That's why I launched events like Ignite Sault www.ignitesault.ca, and am currently focused on launching a collaborative workspace called Gangplank Sault sault.gangplankhq.com.

I'm an ultimate frisbee nut, even started the Sault Ultimate Players Association 10 years ago. Up here we play in the snow, too, short season and all. ;)

Creating software is a discovery process. I believe in using scientific methods to validate hypotheses. Yes, I'm a big fan of Lean Startup methods. :)

In my consulting, I use a change canvas, similar to a business model canvas to create shared understanding of the change initiative. We then come up with minimum viable improvements to test the riskiest hypotheses, so we can learn as quickly as possible what changes are worth scaling.

In a product manager role, I would apply Lean Startup thinking to minimize waste on the path to building the *right* thing.

collaboration and communication. That's what Henrik Kniberg heard as he surveyed across the globe. youtu.be/HV4MlL3Otrw?t=18m12s

As an Agile coach, I focus a lot of my attention on creating safety, on building trust, so that important issues get addressed in a healthy way, and people feel safe to try and learn from mistakes. Most of all, I model the behaviours I'm trying to nurture.

My professional coaching training from The Coaches Institute taught me how to ask powerful questions, how to act with fierce courage for the benefit of others and most of all, how to help individuals get past their own blockers.

I believe these are valuable qualities to have as product manager, don't you?
