The grand avenue in Savernake forest. Stretching for almost four miles through the heart of the woodland, it is the longest tree lined avenue in Britain. A thick mist developed as the sun began to rise and with the autumnal colours lining the tree canopy above, the scene took on a wonderful warm glow.
