La salida natural del barranco de Algendar en la playa se ha convertido con el paso del tiempo en un puerto de embarcaciones de poco calado, en lo que se conoce como el río de Cala Galdana.

Cala Galdana is the tourist beach par excellence of the south coast of Menorca. In spite of that, it is a spectacular beach that shares with all the beaches of the south the white sand and the transparent waters. The length of the beach is more than 400 meters.
The natural outlet of the Algendar ravine on the beach has become, with the passage of time, a harbor of shallow vessels, in what is known as the Cala Galdana river.

La salida natural del barranco de Algendar en la playa se ha convertido con el paso del tiempo en un puero de embarcaciones de poco calado, en lo que se conoce como el río de Cala Galdana. Si no fuera por la cantidad de construcciones y personas que hay en Galdana, esta playa sería la mejor de toda Menorca, pero puede resultar un tanto incomoda en temporada alta.
