Envuelta en un paraje rocoso rodeado de vegetación, Cala en Forcat es una pequeña cala en la que es posible tanto descansar sobre la arena, como sobre las plataformas de roca pulida.
Las plataformas rodean la costa de forma que es posible dibujar la silueta de esa parte de la isla paseando junto a la orilla del mar.
Se trata de una cala en la que se pueden realizar diversas actividades acuáticas como el buceo y el snorkel.

Wrapped in a rocky landscape surrounded by vegetation, Cala en Forcat is a small cove where it is possible to rest on the sand and on the platforms of polished rock.
The platforms surround the coast so that it is possible to draw the silhouette of that part of the island walking along the shore of the sea.

Me ha llamado la atención en Ciutadella, contemplar en su casco histórico, la cuidada decoración que tienen en casi todas las ventanas de sus casas al nivel de calle.

En la costa norte de la Ciutadella de Menorca, ciudad situada en la zona oeste de la isla, se producían naufragios y accidentes debido a las corrientes marinas y a la influencia de los fuertes vientos de la zona de tramontana. El impulso decisivo para la construcción del faro fue el naufragio del barco de vapor francés Général Chanzy el 9 de febrero de 1910 del cual sólo hubo un superviviente y 156 personas muertas.1

El ingeniero Mauro Serret se encargó de diseñar el edificio. Las obras empezaron el 5 de julio de 1912 y se inauguró el 1 de septiembre del año posterior. La instalación luminosa presentaba una apariencia de grupos de 1 y 3 parpadeos blancos que se veían a una distancia de 26 millas. El edificio está formado por dos cuerpos rectangulares independientes de una sola planta, construidos con sillares con cara de piedra vista. La torre se eleva del suelo a una altura de 11,5 metros.

A pocos metros del faro hay un soplete donde cuando hay temporales de primero cuadrante, las olas entran a las cavidades del soplete salen disparadas en forma de grandes columnas de agua que llegan a alturas considerables y se precipitan con gran fuerza sobre la linterna del faro.

On the north coast of the Ciutadella de Menorca, a city located in the western part of the island, there were shipwrecks and accidents due to marine currents and the influence of strong winds from the Tramontana area. A few meters from the lighthouse there is a torch where, when there are storms of the first quadrant, the waves enter the torch cavities, they shoot out in the form of large columns of water that reach considerable heights and fall with great force on the lantern of the lighthouse.
