Jekyll Island, Glynn County GA
Built for John Eugene DuBignon by an unknown architect. The DuBignon family, lead by patriarch Christophe Poulain DuBignon, owned Jekyll Island from 1794 until 1886. Their vast acreages of Sea Island cotton were long legendary, but changes in the economy after the Civil War forced them to sell their property to remain solvent.
